ReNew ELP have joined the UK Plastics Pact®.
Run by WRAP and supported by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the UK Plastics Pact Initiative is a collaborative initiative to drive plastic packaging circularity, creating a platform for innovation, action and targets.
The initial focus is plastic packaging, covering all polymer types and from all aspects of the value chain.
Collaborative targets include:
– Eliminating problematic or unnecessary single use packaging
– 100% of all plastic packaging to be re-usable, recyclable or compostable
– 70% of plastic packaging effectively recycled or composted
– 30% average recycled content across all plastic packaging
The UK Plastics Pact Initiative run by WRAP is supported by the UK government, and aims to involve both industry and UK residents.
