Mura Technology Limited announced today that Doug Kelly and Mary van Veen have been appointed to the company’s board of directors with immediate effect.
Mary van Veen
Mary is a Finance Executive with over 30 years of global finance leadership. She spent over 25 years with DuPont where she was responsible for the global tax affairs and treasury functions, leading a team of over 200 people across 30 countries. Mary has deep expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions and led the complex tax issues of DuPont’s $130 billion merger with Dow in 2017 and subsequent spins of Dow and Corteva in 2019. She is recognised as an expert in enhancing shareholder value through a deep understanding of value drivers and supply chains in order to optimize after-tax earnings and cash flow.
Mary is a proven leader who identifies and develops exceptional talent and builds strong global teams. During her time at DuPont, she was the Executive Sponsor for the DuPont Early Career Network, which fostered the development and retention of DuPont’s early career talent.
Mary is a qualified CPA (inactive). She has a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation and serves on the Board of the Delaware Alliance for Non-profit Advancement (DANA). During her time at DuPont, Mary was an active member of Business Roundtable Tax Section as well as the Alliance for Competitive Taxation, whose goal is to promote US jobs and investment through the establishment of a globally competitive US tax system.
Doug Kelly
Mr. Kelly serves as KBR’s President, Technology. He assumed this role in September 2019 and is responsible for KBR’s global technology licensing business, delivering technology, proprietary equipment, engineering and technical services to the refining, petrochemical, coal monetization and synthesis gas segments.
Mr. Kelly previously served as Senior Vice President for Business Development and Marketing for KBR’s Technology Business and prior to that led KBR’s Refining Technology business.
Mr. Kelly has over 34 years of experience in the Refining and Petrochemical Industry. He started his career as a process engineer at Shell Oil Company in Houston. Since then he has held various leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer at ZEEP, Vice President at Invensys (now AVEVA) and Vice President at Aspen Technology.
Mr. Kelly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is a Licensed Professional Engineer registered in Texas.
